flower-artists-to-follow-on-instagram

Instagram has become a great community builder for me and many other creatives (even though yesterday they just announced they are going to make changes that will interfere with that. Read more about it here and go here to do something about it). I’ve had people hire me for jobs based purely on my feed (both great and terrifying!) and it has also been a great way to connect with you.

I love it when voices I trust provide a list of people to follow on Instagram. Design*Sponge has been creating these lists for awhile and I find that it directs me to unique artists and creatives who help me be inspired, which is one of my goals for this year (to focus on great inspiration as opposed to straight up trendy inspiration). I’ve been compiling my own lists of those who inspire me in hopes that it might direct you to people whose work you will love starting with Flower Lovers.

Nature is the best content maker by far. Add in some talented hands and you’ve got pure magic. Here’s a list of some of 19 of my favorite flower lovers to follow on Instagram. It’s a collection of florists, farmers, and artists. Please let me know in the comments of anyone you think I should add as I’m sure I missed some. I’d love to hear who inspires you!

I first heard of Erin Benzakein of Floret Flowers when I attended the 2014 American Made Awards put on by Martha Stewart in NYC. It’s a farm to florist model and they provide flowers at wholesale across the Pacific Northwest. I love seeing the gorgeous arrangements she creates from her own flower fields.
