In honor of National Ice Cream Month here in the states, I’m doing a series of delicious, healthy sorbets with Kandyce Caroll of Ramblin Rose Cafe. Last week we featured a strawberry rose sorbet and this week it’s a kiwi mint sorbet. Guys, this one is delicious. You will want to pin/bookmark/get your typewriter out and transcribe it.
There’s nothing more magical, earthy, ephemeral than a floral crown and you know I’ve had my shared of tutorials (see here, here, here), but for Midsummer Mingle I wanted one for every single person so I knew we would have to adapt it slightly. Amy from Amy Anne Floral graciously stepped in to make 150 of them and I love how they turned out. They were modified for time issues but I love the simplicity.
Happy National Ice Cream month! Of course, you’ve been waiting for me to acknowledge this important holiday season and yes, I, too, have been anxious to reveal my love of the season. The wait is over! I’ve teamed up with Kandyce Carroll of Ramblin Rose Cafe to bring you 4 delicious, healthy, botanical-inspired ice cream recipes that will bring a smile to your face and a satisfaction in your belly.
First up, strawberry rose sorbet. Though not technically a “cream” it’s most certainly icy so I shall include it.
If you’re just joining me, I threw a garden party with Sarah Jane Studios, Mer Mag, One More Mushroom, Sycamore Street Press, Caravan Shoppe. It was a way to say thank you to all the people out there who support us because we couldn’t do what we love and without you. It turned out to be a party much bigger (and better!) than any of us intended, but we couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out so we’re boldly calling it a success. I’m dividing the photos into two parts–they’re just too lovely not to share all of it with you. It couldn’t have happened without the support of many, many people–especially Cricut— so stick with me as I attempt to thank them here.
I learned so much from this event so I thought it might be helpful to share some tips on what to do and what NOT to do.
