Heart Attack!

You have been heart attacked!
Have you ever done this to someone? I highly recommend it. All you need is an innocent victim, lots of paper hearts, tape, and a quiet time when they aren’t looking. Muhahaha.
PS-this is the one I did last year

DIY: Friendship Bracelet chevron rug

You know how friendship bracelets are totally back? Well, I can’t quite bring myself to get into it after 15 years but I love the bright colors, the patterns, the idea of it….It got me thinking where else I could apply the process and I thought it’d be fun to make a huge friendship bracelet that you could walk on.  You know, given my love of all things oversized. After multiple attempts I came up with this rug for the new Chalkboard Magazine (it’s awesome. Check it out here). Any other size is too thick to actually use. The one you see here is two final rugs stitched together.

DIY: Kissing clothespin caketopper

Check out the my first DIY for Brooklyn Bride. So easy and simple. I thought it’d be nice as a caketopper or on favor bags. For the full story go here. Have you checked out my decorating tips? If you like gold, you’ll love these ideas. And if you want something easy and powerful, check out this tip. I love writing for a wedding blog. It gives me the chance to think all my favorite things: fashion, DIYs, decor, food. Yes, it’s a perfect fit. And a huge thank you to Liv Colliander for stepping in to photograph. I haven’t found too many people around town who photograph products and she was up for the challenge. Speaking of, is there anyone in the Copenhagen area who wants to collaborate? Maybe some fun projects or photographing?

23rd day of Christmas crafts: advent candle

During the holiday season in Denmark every store carries advent candles. We currently have one single advent candle for every day leading up to Christmas as well as a set of 24 candles, one marked for each day. I’ve never seen them in the states so I thought I’d make my own. I realize it’s a little late in the advent game, but a thought for next year.
You will need a plain-o candle, a paint pen, and ruler. I used centimeters to fit the size of my candle. A 9 1/2″ candle perfectly fits 24 centimeters and therefore 24 days. Happy adventing!
I have so many projects still that I want to make, but alas, not enough days anymore. I will have a special edition Christmas Eve version tomorrow. Muhaha.

22nd day of Christmas crafts: handpainted adornments

I saw these bows on some beautiful wrapping and decided to try it out on some of the gift bags I did for Oh Happy Day. I love the trompe l’oeil effect it creates. You could do a bunch of bows at the same time for lots of gifts.

Only two more days left of Christmas crafts…we can do it, we can do it, we can do it.
