This week & thoughts about love

Balloon baby shower

TGIF! How was your week?!

Not having kids, Paul and I tend to get our share of date nights, whether formal or informal—we’re enjoying the ample time while it lasts. I caught wind of the New York Times’ 36 questions to fall in love with anyone, and we decided to try it out on one of these said dates. Though we’ve been married for almost 5 years it never hurts to get to know each other even more—I’m constantly learning new things about Paul and I’d say the reverse is most likely true as well. And he never ever ever keeps me bored, which is most likely one of the reasons we’re married in the first place.

We started the 36 questions at a restaurant (sadly, a horrible, over priced restaurant, which we shall never return too. I hate finding that out the hard way!) and only got through a few questions then the next time we went out we continued where we left off, again, only getting through another few and you know what? It’s been so enlightening! I’m learning not only so much more about him but myself and us as a team. I don’t want to do a full recap of everything we’re learning until the experiment is done, but I just wanted to put it out there in case you’re looking for some interesting things to do with your spouse. I find that our time together becomes repetitive, a bit mundane, and poorly planned. I’d love to mix it up with some more interesting/bonding/non cheesy things to do that don’t take a lot of time to plan. Maybe I’ll start a column here to help me get going on that…Anyone have any rad ideas on things to do with your spouse? Help!

Fun links for the weekend:

Love this beach ball lantern backdrop. I’d love to see them as a garland for a party!

I just got this chambray jumpsuit and it is THE BOMB! And it’s half off!

Jodi Levine‘s book Candy Aisle Crafts looks super fun!

This cute dress is 50% off!

I’ve been wanting to make a paper fiddle leaf fig for awhile and Corrie beat me to it. I’ve loved her work for a long time.

One of my hobbies is time efficiency. I love seeing how other creatives work.

I love this windowpane dress (and it’s on sale!)

Next time I’m in LA I’m visiting all of these

And I love shirt dresses and this one is half off. I just got it and have worn it twice already!
