Rainbow Paper Pumpkin Tablescape

If you’re looking to colorize your Thanksgiving table for the upcoming festivities, this Rainbow Paper Pumpkin tablescape is just the ticket! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and is the ideal time to create a really beautiful tablescape. The beauty with this arrangement is that not only is it colorful, festive, and beautiful, it’s paper and completely disposable, making it perfect for a meal with kids. You don’t need to worry about broken dishes or decor, you can simply enjoy the meal and the company!

Rainbow Paper Pumpkin Tablescape

Each pumpkin is made from 1 piece of ASTROBRIGHTS®paper and some craft wire, making it extremely inexpensive to boot. Astrobrights Paper offers the most vibrant colored paper and we were so enamored that we knew we had to create a rainbow arrangement. We used almost the colors in the Spectrum Assorted Cardstock pack to create a beautiful rainbow.

See how easy it is to replicate with Astrobrights Paper!

Gratitude Tree with Acorn Favors

Gratitude Tree with Acorns favors

What’s your favorite part of Thanksgiving? Naturally, I’m a real big fan of the food. Who isn’t? In addition, though, my family has always taken some time out of the evening to reflect on the things that we’re really grateful for. Be it in the form of a list on notecards, shared verbally around the table, or in the form of a Gratitude Tree! A gratitude tree is a way to display the things you’re grateful for while creating a beautiful and seasonal display. Each dinner guest gets a paper leaf or a few leaves, and they write something they’re thankful for on each leaf. It’s a great activity to do at a Thanksgiving gathering.Gratitude Tree with Acorns favors

A bonus element to this tree is the Acorn Favors! Each acorn is actually an eos First Snow Lip Balm in disguise! Before you send your guests away after the big feast, tell them to take an acorn off the gratitude tree. This eos First Snow Sphere is the perfect gift to send your friends and family home with as the scent characterizes the cozy time of year. It’s fresh and crisp and smells SO good. Plus, your lips will be in need of some extra TLC with the winter chill on the way! Read on →

Macy’s Day Parade Tablescape

Macy's Day Parade Tablescape-8What are some of your Thanksgiving traditions? Maybe you go on a Turkey Trot the morning of Halloween. Perhaps you see a movie in the evening? I know a lot of people who watch way too much football 😉 One particular tradition beloved at the Lars Studio is watching the Macy’s Day Parade on the morning of Thanksgiving. The floats, the music, the dancing, it’s all so magical! As the cooking and baking preparations are well underway, we watch the parade march past Central Park and there is nothing better! Nostalgia at its finest, that’s what the holidays are all about, right? So we bottled up our love for that tradition and created this Macy’s Day Parade Tablescape for our monthly tablescape series complete with taxi car place cards! Say hello to your new Thanksgiving tradition.

Edited: The Today Show loved it so much they featured it on their Thanksgiving edition!

See how to create the full tablescape after the jump!

Friendsgiving Printables

Friendsgiving PrintablesThanksgiving is in 3 weeks! If you’re on the ball, that means you’re probably already working on a menu and planning for the great feast. For the rest of us, we’re just hoping that we get invited to that house! Thanksgiving is traditionally spent with family and loved ones. People travel far and wide to join together to eat, drink, and be merry. Though perhaps you can’t get work off or don’t have the time or money to travel. Enter: Friendsgiving! Friendsgiving is a version of Thanksgiving but rather than family members, it’s your friends that compile the guest list. I love Friendsgiving because it’s the perfect excuse to reconnect with friends and enjoy a delicious dinner party. Where’s the bad?

Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving Tablescape

This post is in partnership with World Market. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that allow The House That Lars Built to keep creating original content!

I often feel that Thanksgiving can get swallowed up in the midst of Halloween and Christmas celebrations. We go from Halloween candy on the shelves straight to Christmas trees in the shopping aisles! Thanksgiving can get lost in the mix! And although Thanksgiving is not commonly celebrated with tons of decorations or loads of candy, it is one of my most favorite holidays. A day dedicated to spending time with those you love most, expressing gratitude, and making and eating delicious food. What more do you need? Oh, I know: a gorgeous Thanksgiving tablescape to plan the day around!

Thanksgiving Tablescape

In all honesty, this is one of my favorite tablescapes we’ve ever done. It’s just so stunning! World Market provided the most lovely options to create our turkey-themed setting. I loved using a more untraditional color palette for Thanksgiving. And that flower arrangement was made completely from foraged blossoms and greens by the talented Allison Baddley of La Fete Floral. It’s absolutely dreamy with that golden fern! With a tablescape like this, there’s no way Thanksgiving could get lost in the mix.

Take a closer look at all the elements to create your own gorgeous tablescape for the holidays!
