New Mother’s Day gift set

We’re thrilled to announce our Mother’s Day collaboration with one of our favorite plant shops, Piep. I first found out about Piep when they opened up shop a year and a half ago in Riverside, California. I had been wanting a Pilea plant for ages, but didn’t know how to come about finding one because I had never seen one in any nursery. Turns out, they are the first commercial growers of the Pilea plant in the US! Score!

We teamed up to offer an epic Mother’s Day gift set: 1 Pilea Plant, an apron that comes in pink, mustard, or blue, a gift card for mom (“How to care for mom”) by artist, Hilary Onyon, and a card on how to care for your plant.

The sets are available now over at our shop and at Piep!

Featured illustrator: Helen Dealtry

This month we’re featuring artist and textile designer Helen Dealtry, who created our Lars Book Club poster and bookmark for The Secret Garden. With a focus on florals, Helen is one of my absolute favorite artists. Her works is unlike anyone else’s! And she’s done work for some of the best out there. She’s originally from the UK and got her BA in Textile and Fashion design from Winchester School of Art before heading to NYC for a job in a leading textile design studio. She teaches a limited number of floral painting classes (be on the lookout–they sell out fast!) and applies her work on scarves.

April Book Club poster and bookmark

Hello, readers! Have you enjoyed The Secret Garden? It’s the perfect book for this spring season, and whether it’s your first or fifth time reading it, the story is enchanting. We’ve got some discussion questions for you below—there’s so much good stuff to talk about in this book, you guys! We’d love to hear your thoughts! Share them with us on Instagram @larsbookclub .

This month’s poster and bookmark is by featured illustrator, Helen Dealtry, one of my absolute favorites. Her depiction of flowers is other worldly, just like the book, which is why we thought she was the perfect person for the job! We’ll be featuring her later in the month with an exclusive interview, but for now, download her poster and bookmark below and read some follow-up questions to the book!

DIY Pom Pom Easter Egg Tree

As you know, we love an Easter tree (see here and here) and it’s becoming a tradition to try a new one every year. This year we are on a major pom pom kick (see our rainbow pom here! We’ve been experimenting a bunch and of course that certainly meant that we had to try our hand at an Easter egg! Yes, Easter is in two days, but this is one of those projects where you can sit with the tv on and go to town or even prep for next year. We’re doing a Facebook Live TODAY at noon MST to show you how to make them so tune in!

See the full tutorials for a solid, polka dot, and stripe egg pom pom after the jump!
