My friend Kenzie Ogletree Murphy, catered my garden birthday party last month and she did such a terrific job. Everything was so delicious. She made Moscow mule mocktails for the beverages and thyey totally hit the spot. I’m historically a boring water girl, but have been trying to get into drinks that are more interesting so I was thrilled when she shared her recipe with us. It’s a keeper!
If you’re not familiar, the Moscow Mule is a classic cocktail known for its refreshing taste and iconic copper mug presentation. It’s basically a great peach ginger summer drink. Traditionally made with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice, it offers a delightful mix of spiciness and tanginess. But for us ladies in Utah who don’t drink, you take out the vodka and replace it with some club soda or ginger beer and it’s still so so good. I highly recommend it for your next event!

Tips for the Perfect Moscow Mule Mocktail
- Quality Ingredients: The key to a great mocktail is the quality of your ingredients. Opt for the best ginger beer you can find, fresh lime juice, and high-quality club soda.
- Adjust to Taste: The beauty of making mocktails at home is that you can adjust the flavors to suit your preferences. If you like it sweeter, add more simple syrup. Prefer it more tart? Add a bit more lime juice.
- Experiment with Flavors: Don’t be afraid to get creative. You can infuse your simple syrup with herbs like basil or thyme, or add a splash of fruit juice for a different twist.
