I’ve been wanting to create a Mother’s Day pop-up card for ages now with lots of blooming flowers and this was the year! You should know by now that flowers are my everything, and even though they’re so cliche for Mother’s Day, they deserve all the attention, besides the mother herself, of course. So, we came up with this Mother’s Day Pop-up card that you can print off and turn into a gorgeous bouquet.

- Motherโs Day Card Pop Up template
- Scissors
- Paper cutter (optional)
- glue gun or glue stick
- ruler
- pencil
Instructions
Card
- Download the Printable Mother’s Day card. Either print front to back or plan on gluing two pieces together. Use cardstock to make it heavier.
-
Cut the outside and inside of the card out along the dotted lines.
-
Score and fold the card along the center.
- Glue the blank sides of the cards together with the artwork facing outward if you printed them on two pages.
The Pop-up mechanism
-
Cut out the 3 long green rectangle pieces. Then, cut out the smaller rectangles and set aside.
-
With the long strips, score and fold the strips every inch along the lines, starting at ยฝโ.
-
Fold all the scored lines to form a circle. Glue the first and last tabs together to create a loop. Green outside, white inside.
-
Pinch two tabs inside of the circle and glue together at the top only. It will make kind of a heart.
-
Bring the point down into the circle.
- Repeat to all of the long strips.
-
Opening up the inside of the card, mark a spot in the center with a pencil. Then above and below 1.25โ mark two more spots.
-
Picking a loop, position it so that the part of the loop where the tabs are glued together to create a heart, are placed in the center fold along where there is a pencil mark. Glue the loop to the card on both sides. Repeat with the other two loops. You should now have three pop up mechanisms.
-
Using the smaller rectangles, use glue to adhere the small rectangles like stems to the pop up mechanisms in the card. These will give the flowers some dimension.
Flowers
-
Cut out the flowers from the floral template.
-
Begin gluing the flowers onto the pop up mechanism, closing the card each time to ensure that it folds down nicely.
-
You can glue on the smaller rectangles like stems.
- Glue flowers to the larger pop up mechanisms.
- Glue flowers to the card to add dimension to the bouquet.
- As you glue, make sure the card can fold smoothly and there are no pieces sticking out.
