For our balloons, books, and babies baby shower (see previous posts here), Ashley made some adorable bows for the party straws made from pages from books, perfect for our book theme. Aren’t they adorable? This technique for making bows is a modern update from a simple bow tie (and pssst: I showed a gift topper idea here with it). See below for the full instructions!

Materials:
- old illustrated children’s book
- template (download below)
- scissors
- pencil
- OR SVG cutter (Cricut is what we used) and SVG file
- hot glue
- paper straws (here are some fun ones!)
Instructions:
Step 1: Trace bow template onto old book pages.
Step 2: Cut out bow pieces.
Step 3: Assemble pieces and glue according to drawing.
Step 4: Attach each bow to a straw with a dab of hot glue. Bow should be about 2.5″ from the top of the straw.
