Day 21 of Dress the Rainbow in pale yellow with my friend, hair stylist master, Rubi Jones. Rubi and I first met in person after following each other online a few years ago in Berlin at a conference for European bloggers (I was living in Copenhagen and she was living in Paris) and I’ve loved seeing the progress she makes as an artist, person, and soon-to-be mother. She’s a great listener and has a demure power to her. For example, she recently pulled a Beyonce and came out with a book called The Art of Hair: Your Ultimate Guide to Braids, Buns, Curls, and More after giving us no warning signs! How does she do it? I can’t keep anything in!
I used to be into braiding and such as a kid, but I’ve been out of practice for so long that I’m super rusty so it’s nice to have a go to reference book from someone whose style I trust completely. Rubi walks through everything step by step. Art of Hair. Check it out here!
