Day 21 of Dress the rainbow

Day 21 of Dress the Rainbow in pale yellow with my friend, hair stylist master, Rubi Jones. Rubi and I first met in person after following each other online a few years ago in Berlin at a conference for European bloggers (I was living in Copenhagen and she was living in Paris) and I’ve loved seeing the progress she makes as an artist, person, and soon-to-be mother. She’s a great listener and has a demure power to her. For example, she recently pulled a Beyonce and came out with a book called The Art of Hair: Your Ultimate Guide to Braids, Buns, Curls, and More after giving us no warning signs! How does she do it? I can’t keep anything in!

I used to be into braiding and such as a kid, but I’ve been out of practice for so long that I’m super rusty so it’s nice to have a go to reference book from someone whose style I trust completely. Rubi walks through everything step by step. Art of Hair. Check it out here!

Check out how the Dress the Rainbow series is shaping out on Instagram! You guys are rocking it!

I was so lucky to get the full Rubi treatment and she did these braids from her book. I kept it in as long as I possibly could. How rad, huh?! rubi-jones-hair-braids
