We’re 9 days into Creativebug’s Daily Drawing Challenge for the month of March with Pam Garrison. How’s it going??? Are you keeping up? I’ve already seen a big change in the amount of drawing I do and where I do it.
For example, at church I’ve been drawing/taking notes in the form of doodling and it’s been so great. First off, I pay attention better. Second, I remember what we talked about. Third, it’s FUN!
Additionally, drawing has been on my mind since the challenge started so I was inspired to create a backdrop that people can color in the night of our Coloring Book party tomorrow night. The night of, people can color it in and take pics, like all good artists do 🙂
Day 3 was my favorite day of the challenge so far. I have a natural affinity towards more organic shapes so leaves were by far my favorite. I love the shapes they take.
Birds is something I’m looking to develop a bit more in my own style. Pam’s are super cute and stylized. I added in my own swan after I created so many for a paper cut out backdrop I did for Google two years ago.
And I loved this story that Pam told. Trophies were traditionally called “loving cups” because they were used at weddings and celebrations. People would pass them around and everyone would take a sip.
Did you sign up for the challenge??? I’d love to hear your feedback so far! If you haven’t yet, there’s still time! It goes until the end of March. It only takes a few minutes a day, or like Netflix, you can binge draw!
