Rainbow Pies

Rainbow Pies I am not going to be so bold as to say that pies are the BEST dessert—who am I to discriminate against desserts? But, I do have a soft spot for those buttery, flaky crusts. Pies are often reserved only for the holiday season, and I quickly came to realize that this was doing them a disservice. Pies should be embraced for every occasion and every holiday! In every color of the rainbow! So that’s exactly what we did.

Pies tend to get shafted because they’re a little more time-consuming, a little more involved, and a little more messy. It’s not always “easy as pie,” people. Luckily, method dish soap helped us combat the mess and provided the solution to our clean freak tendencies! We created six different pies in all the colors of the rainbow for every occasion and when it was all said and done, our beautiful white pie plates were spotless. So let them eat pie!

Rainbow Pies with Method

We decided on six favors to cover our rainbow color needs, and linked to our favorite recipes! Cherry for red, pumpkin for orange, lemon meringue for yellow, grasshopper (mint) for green, blueberry for blue, and purple sweet potato for purple. There are plenty of other flavors you could use to make the rainbow, like strawberry, key lime, or peach. Just pick a palate, tailor it to your tastes, and run with it!

Clean up was made a million times easier using the method dish soap. The soap is ultra-grease fighting, so even that Oreo cookie crust was a breeze to get clean. Not to mention the fact that it’s non-toxic and the scents smell amazing. Nothing beats the smell of a pie baking in the oven, but this came pretty close. Lime-sea salt? Yes please.

And check out that Meringue! A definite show-stopper.
