Pom Pom Your Wardrobe

Pom Pom Your Wardrobe

I used to think pom poms were meant strictly for craft projects. That was until last year and all of a sudden pom poms were popping up everywhere! Gone were the googley eyes and craft sticks that had traditionally adorned pom poms, and in replace were chic handbags and sandals. The trend is still holding strong and we couldn’t be happier about it! But, let’s be real for a minute, who knows how long the pom pom trend will last? We can’t very well attach pom poms to every item of our clothing just to have to get rid of them the next season when they’re back to being a craft supply. But, don’t worry, we have your solution! We decided to glue magnets to the back of the pom poms so that you could easily pom pom your wardrobe without permanently altering your clothes! From skirts to shirts to shoes, the sky is the limit! We chose 4 ways to add pom poms to our wardrobe. So wear those pom poms with pride! As soon as you tire of the trend, remove the magnets and add them to your craft storage 🙂

1. The Skirt

Pom Pom Your Wardrobe

Make pom poms in all the shades of the rainbow and place them all over an airy summer skirt. This is the perfect way to jazz up a simple cotton skirt for the spring!

2. The Dress

Pom Pom Your Wardrobe

We made tiny neon pink pom poms to line the ruffle of this chambray summer dress. This is a good way to make the poms more of a detail rather than putting them all over the outfit.

3. The T-Shirt

For the T-shirt we decided to make the flower centers of this painterly top (from J.Crew) the pom poms. We chose various shades of pinks for the poms and kept the size rather small.

4. The Shoe

We loved the idea of a giant pom on a classy oxford shoe (we got ours from here) , but we couldn’t resist these adorable pink striped ones! If you are a little apprehensive about the look, just make a smaller pom pom!
