Ok, I’ve been wanting to do this series for AGES and it’s finally my time! I love gathering objects from around the internet and making rooms for children and people that don’t actually exist in my life. We’ve done versions of it in the past but with actual people (remember this series? Or this one? This time, I’m committing to doing one a month starting with everyone’s favorite right now, a cottagecore inspired girl’s room for under $1000. Alternative titles to this new series are: someone make this room happen! Actually, that’s not a bad idea…
I started out with this sweet bedroom that I envisioned for my daughter that doesn’t exist. I really don’t love attributing anything to a boxed term like cottagecore, but I’m pretty sure that’s how the Internet is going to going to read it so might as well beat them to it. In reality, it’s a mix of Scandinavian folk (that wallpaper!), a bit of antique French, and English cottage. It makes me think I’m in the Cotswalds now!
The reason I started with this one is because I was gathering objects for our Things We Love page, and noticed a common thread between all the home stuff–wouldn’t it make a delightful room? The answer is yes and here we are. By the way, I’ve also committed to spending more time over on our things We Love page this year, which is basically a place where I put everything I would buy if I had an endless budget. We have categories for dresses, upcoming holidays, home, craft supplies…it’s dreamy. Check it out here!
Cottagecore bedroom for a girl
I labeled this as a room for under $1000 because it’s more or less that depending on how much wallpaper you get. I’m in love with every single object. I wanted to share things that come in a range of prices so there’s a little something for everyone. Have at it!
