And…it’s finally here! After over a month of sneak peeks and project reveals, our Heart, Hands, Eyes, Lips party in collaboration with Joss and Main is up to celebrate our 7 day sale. Take a lookie to see the products we used to create this Galentine’s Day brunch.
Coming up with a party idea for Valentine’s Day based on their products was easy squeezy especially when I saw…
…this puppy:
A red lips sofa.
It reminded me of when we visited the Salvador Dali museum in Spain on our honeymoon. One of my favorite rooms in the museum is the Mae West room which features a 3D living room with furniture aligned to form the shape of the famed actress’s face including a wood and satin sofa in the shape of lips. When you stand at the right spot in the room the eyes, lips, mouth, and nose all line up. The man was a kook.
BUT! It provides great inspiration for a surrealist-inspired Galentine’s Day party. Especially one that focuses on all the ways we show our love: through our heart, hands eyes, and lips, of course! Each part of the party reflects it from the eyeball drink stirrers to the shaped cookies.

We commissioned Sweet Jenny Belle to make us some coordinating heart, hands, eyes, lips cookies and she knocked it out of the park! We used a platter by Ittala from their site. 
To make the dessert table possible we used a lot of fun goodies from Joss and Main including the neon sign heart sculpture (it looks better in the dark!), the Le Creuset yellow cake stand, the Saga Form candy dish, which I’ve been eyeing for ages, the Ittala red and yellow candlesticks, 3 tiered dessert stand, heart shaped ceramic bowl, and Iittala white platter. ME used this heart-shaped baking form to create the gem-inspired cake.
Of course, we had to fit in as many surrealist elements as we could. Thankfully they had the perfect cloud background to use as a photobooth. 
We made some cloud balloons, which I’ll be creating a tutorial for soon! Stay tuned!
And you remember the eyeball placemats right? We used their pink dessert plates from our sale as the pupils and created the name tags and placemats with this tutorial.

We made some Surrealist-inspired photobooth props, which we’ll be providing as free printables in the next few weeks.
Our eyeball gumball drink stirrers were huge hit when we released the tutorial a few weeks ago. Find the tutorial here! 
And we used the pretty flutes from the Joss and Main sale along with the pretty pink mugs.

Who doesn’t need a heart shaped spoon?! The spoon and heart shaped bowl are in our sale. 
We worked with Foxglove here in Provo to create the amazing flower steam tea pot arrangement. They used our tea pot from our sale, and weighed it down with wet sand and metal frogs to create the heavy base needed to weigh down the heavy flowers. This is an arrangement I’ve been wanting to try for ages, even before our wedding. I had seen it somewhere in a magazine once upon a time and thought it would be so cool. Now was definitely the perfect time!
