I’ve been wanting to bring my friend Cassidy Tuttle, author of The Idiot’s Guide to Succulents and blogger of Succulents and Sunshine, for quite some time now to show you how to keep succulents. It seems like every time I mention succulents, albeit not too often, there are always comments about how no one can ever keep them alive. We deceivingly think they are cacti and can live without water, but it’s not true. Well! Cassidy graciously appears on this week’s YouTube video talking about the basics of succulents and showing us how to make this beautiful succulent wall planter. Her tricks are ingenious!
How to make a vertical succulent planter
Materials:
- sphagnum moss
- a variety of succulents (you can get some here)
- vertical planter (Cassidy used this one from Dalla Vita)
Cassidy has graciously provided Lars readers with a free PDF of 3 tips on how to grow healthy succulents, which you can download here.
Cassidy also has a series of e-books, which go more into detail about the care of succulents, like How to Water Succulents, How to Propagate Succulents, and How to Grow Succulents indoors.
