To go along with our Bauhaus inspired tablescape, we couldn’t leave you hanging without showing you how to create these beautiful mobiles! If you’re not familiar with Bauhaus design, it is characterized by primary colors and graphic shapes. These mobiles are such a fun interpretation and make a stunning focal point. Who needs a chandelier when you can have a mobile! These would look great in a child’s room as well, acting as a fun and unique art piece. We’ve included a painting guide, a shape guide, and templates so that you can easily recreate this mobile in no time!

Bauhaus Inspired Mobiles
Templates, color, and shape guides found HERE!
Materials:
- Matte Board
- Exacto knife or box-cutter
- Paint in red, orange, yellow, teal, light blue, blue
- Gold leaf
- Gold rings
- Hole punch
- Fishing line
Instructions:
- Using the templates provided, cut out the shapes from mat board with a sharp cutting tool.
- Punch holes where directed
- Paint shapes as indicated in the guide, including gold leafing certain elements.
- Add texture to the shapes with brush strokes and patterns and gold leaf.
- Place gold rings in all the punch holes and tie shapes together with fishing line
- Hang from ceiling, securing with strong tape.
