Time has literally FLOWN by these past few weeks and I can’t believe we made it through! With all the preparation for Craft the Rainbow, we’ve been pretty busy around these parts. But it was worth every second! Last Thursday we celebrated with a Craft the Rainbow Launch Party and it was so wonderful to see your excitement about the book! Because I know many of you were not able to attend (but totally should have flown out! ;), I wanted to share all the details from the special night. Indulge me for just a bit longer.
Take a look at all the colorful details of the party!
Craft the Rainbow Launch Party
I wanted the launch party to capture the same colorful magic of the book. We hosted the event at West Elm SLC and it was absolutely perfect. We are huge fans of West Elm and love their aesthetic. They were so generous with their space as we slowly packed it full of balloons and rainbow goodies. We like to think those unknowing shoppers appreciated the surprise 😉
All of our decorations were purchased from our favorite local party supply store, Zurcher’s. We probably bought more balloons, streamers, and tissue paper than they’re ever seen a single customer purchase! It made the venue such a colorful and happy place to be! We dotted the store with clusters of colored balloons and flanked the workshop space with rainbow curtain streamers. Drew, a past intern, created a stunning fringed tissue paper backdrop for my book signing space. I was in love with the end result!
Before the book signing began, we have a workshop for 24 guests. We had a paper brooch bar, and created a variety of designs including the 3 featured in Craft the Rainbow. It was so fun to get to craft with such lovely guests. Each person got an awesome swag bag, and first dibs on the delicious food!
Cricut sponsored the whole event and provided product for all of the swag bags, paper for the brooches, and 4 amazing door prizes! Some lucky ladies received a Cricut Machine, Easy Press Machines, and accessories. We are huge fans of Cricut and all of their products so we were thrilled to have their support.
The launch party was catered by the most talented duo, Ramblin’ Rose. This amazing catering company is own by two lovely sisters who create literal works of art with food! I’m not kidding when I say it was the most beautiful food I’ve ever seen, and don’t even get me started on the taste. People were going CRAZY over their spread! If you’re a Utah-local, make sure you check them out for your next event! Such lovely people to work with and you will be blown away with their offerings.
Are you drooling yet?
Sweet Tooth Fairy provided out of this world rainbow-themed treats and an amazing door prize! I’m good friends with the founder, Megan, and she is so talented! We had cupcakes, soft chocolate chip cookies, and fairyfetti cake bits (a personal fave). They also gave us the most stunning rainbow sugar cookies, which you can actually purchase online now!
They also created the sweetest Rainbow Gift Box full of rainbow goodies! Just in time for Mother’s Day, hint hint. Megan was sweet enough to offer you all 20% off your purchase at TheSweetToothFairy.com with the code RAINBOW. They ship nationwide, so treats for all!
Tattly Temporary Tattoos was kind enough to provide a variety of rainbow tattoos for our guests and they were going crazy over them! Such a fun thing to do! They have tons of awesome designs that are great for people of all ages.
I’m so grateful for all the friends who came out to the launch party to support me, The House That Lars Built, and Craft the Rainbow. This community is absolutely amazing and I feel so lucky to be a part of it! It’s such a treat to be able to meet you amazing readers in person, we need to do it more often, no?
This picture might be my favorite of the whole night!
Thanks for all your support!
