2019 has been a big year for us here at The House That Lars Built and we think that is something to celebrate! We gained a couple of new employees (4 to be exact, which is over half of our team!) We launched our Print Shop, which includes artists such as Lisa Congdon, Libby Vanderploeg and Amanda Jane Jones, just to name a few. So yeah, you could say that we are feeling like there is much to be celebrated from 2019 the good, the bad and the ugly we’re embracing it all thanking the year for what it was and getting excited for all the 2020 has to offer us! Since it was such a wonderful year we decided we needed wonderful invitations to celebrate and thus these New Year’s Eve invitations based off of our New Years Eve printable crown were born and we are nothing short of excited to mail these guys out!

Party ideas for ringing in the new year
No matter how you’re celebrating the beginning of a new year, we have some decor ideas and (more!) printables for you! Now that you’ve got the printable New Year’s Eve invitation and matching crowns, you can focus on the New Year’s Eve party decorations. Last year, we had an art deco inspired New Years celebration. We created a colorful tablescape and matching art deco inspired crowns, and you can view the details here. In Lars’ past, we created a New Year’s Eve star crown for those of you who like a little bit of sparkle to the new year. Can you tell that we love creating crowns for New Year’s Eve? It seems to be a New Years staple along with those New Year eyeglasses.
Although planning parties and creating decor is a joy, we can’t forget about New Years resolutions! We created these New Years resolution printables (available in the Lars shop) to help you set your goals and stick to them.
For more New Year’s Eve party inspiration, take a look at some DIY’s in the Lars archives, including this DIY balloon arch. Hang up some colorful and shiny balloons to help set the scene for the ball drop. We have a balloon arch kit available in the shop! Another fun way to reminisce about the year (while creating beautiful decor) is to hang a newspaper garland like this one. Find the best headlines from the year and turn them into a beautiful scene for your guests to enjoy. A New Year’s Eve party calls for confetti, so why not incorporate it into your decor? This DIY confetti tablecloth will bring color to your celebration and help make the last night of the year cheerful!
