Introducing the first ever Mix & Match bridal shower! The secrets to this party hide within the details: mix and match dishes, custom treats, fresh flowers, jeweled accessories, and of course, delicate dresses. But, the real secret of the party lies with you. Instead of sending your bridesmaids out to find dresses, you’re bringing them in to find their perfect match. Frills, ribbons, and excited grins are your party favors. Now, you can leave your most trusted sidekicks feeling like queens themselves.
BHLDN asked us to throw the perfect bridesmaid party, because after all, every wedding needs beautiful dresses. So, here are the details to the Mix & Match bridesmaid: a party to throw, a brunch to remember. After inviting your bridesmaids to participate, now is when the fun starts! A mix and match party is the perfect way to get the ladies excited for the upcoming nuptials and duties.
Bring the dresses and shoes to THEM! That way you can get all the agony done in one go. Beautiful shoes in blue AND blush set the tone. And, they just so happen to be Pantone’s colors of the year!
A range of dresses in the colors of your choice (and a variety of sizes too!) will help your bridesmaids identify the right look for their body type.
Here we have the Gardenia dress on the left and the Zola dress on the right.
One of my favorite party details are the sweet English cocktail plates. They look like the type you’ve been collecting for years but they come in a set of 12 in wonderfully mis-matched colors and patterns.
For our table setting, we collected a range of party ware in various shades of pinks and blues. Like the classic latte bowls from Anthropologie in peach, the gorgeous linen tablecloths and napkins in blush from Terrain, the cute paper straws, Granada tumblers and pitcher, and gorgeous glass cake plate. I topped it off with some paper pink bell flowers. Tutorial on the way!

On the model: pear drop earrings, La Luna necklace, and Gardenia dress
The jewels are to die for!
Celestina dress (on left), Lina dress in blue (on model), Lina dress in white (on right)
We found similar colors in various shades of blues: gorgeous blue linen tablecloth, Hobnail pitcher, latte bowls in sky blue, glass votives in turquoise, paper stripe straws, tumblers in blue and I topped it off with some paper blue bell flowers (tutorial coming!).
