I’m so pleased to introduce you to another guest contributor, Therese Wikman, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Therese works as a print designer for H&M and spends her spare time hunting for the next thrift find to upcycle, furniture to paint or any other DIY-project. She sells her curated vintage products on her shop Miss Vintage Valentine. Today, Therese is showing us how to turn old lampshades into vases.
Project and photography by Therese Wikman of Vintage Valentine
I love thrifting and finding beauty in things that someone else has rejected. At the thrift store I saw these shelves filled with rows of beautiful vintage glass lampshades. They where all longing for a new home. So I came up with this idea, to make vases out of them. It feels great to bring old things into a new life, by upcycling them a bit. And look, don’t they look happy, shining in their new colorful robes?
