I asked Lars readers on Instagram to submit projects they’ve created inspired by projects here on the blog and the response was fantastic. You guys are the best! Thanks for reading AND getting inspired by the projects we make for this blog. That type of response makes me want to create all the beautiful things in the world! Gah! So much to do, so little time. The Valentine’s Day hashtag was #LarsLovesLove and up until I’ve asked everyone to use the hash tag #LarsMakes for any project inspired by Lars but today I’m changing it up! At the time I thought I’d use one blanket tag so everyone could participate, but it didn’t really make sense that Lars was making your projects. Right?! So, I’m hereby initiating #MakingWithLars as of now! Who will be the first one to tag their photos?
Here are some of my favorite projects you made from our Valentine’s Day projects. The clear winner was the heart tree. You guys loved it!
1. @ameliadaines_design turned our printable Valentines into art for her mantle. So sweet! I love this idea! (Pssst: Martha Stewart also featured our valentines on their blog!) | 2. @courtneysnowden used our St. Patrick’s shamrock button covers from last year and turned them into hearts for her daughter. I LOVE this! | 3. @janalaurene made conversation cookie hearts inspired by ours here. | 4. @mrsdetherage made the Valentine tree look good! | 5. So did @koskkakoshkina in Russia! | 6. And so did @jrschlueter with this pretty moody photo | 7. My girl Leslie @lesmorec attempted the pajoki chandelier and it turned out SO good! | 8. @allthingsbelle created an illustration based on the Heart collar. Cute!
9. A total foraged original inspired by the pajaki by @annamkoons | 10. A bright Valentine’s tree from @paper_to_jewellery | 11. Is this not the cutest! I love the tree with the kiddos from @hollymerickson | 12. preparing the hearts by @jrschlueter | 13. The straws from the pajaki from @nicolynn83 and the finished here | 14. I LOVE how @margotcarreca styled the heart collar pin. So cute!
Next up, I’ll be showing projects inspired by the balloon arch (as seen here). Have you made one? Show me! Tag it with #makingwithlars!
