I’m not one to celebrate numbers, nor have I ever celebrated any blog milestones thus far in my almost 9 years of blogging (WOW!), but I decided that we need to acknowledge our achievements. It gives us momentum and lets others know that we are in this for the long haul and that we appreciate your help in getting us to a spot worth celebrating! I actually meant to celebrate when we reached 100K followers on Instagram, but that came and went and I was off to the next thing so now we are celebrating reaching 150K!
When I started The House That Lars Built I never anticipated that it would grow into what it is today, but I attribute our growth 100% to you! And for that, I am SO grateful! So we decided that our celebration needed to be an expression of gratitude. And what better way to express gratitude than with flowers! 150 flowers to be exact. Only appropriate. We decided to make it an event and spent an evening with our new crop of interns delivering flowers to people in downtown Provo with a card that reads, “A Peony for your thoughts?”! And we’re including the printables–peony flower crowns, a tag for the flowers, and a note to pass on–for you to make yourself in case you feel inclined to do the same. The idea is to keep the love going regardless of reaching large milestones! Get the free printables below!
The idea with “Peony for your Thoughts” was to share some love, and have people pass it on. So we gave out 150 flowers along with a card with a peony on it that reads “peony for your thoughts” to pass on to someone else. The idea is to keep it going and tag yours with #peonyforyourthoughts
Yes, you’re right, we didn’t pass out peonies, but I’m having a carnation moment, so we went with it. We all wore peony crowns that you can download.

So, THANK YOU for your support over the years. Thank you for reading, sharing, commenting, making. We love you! And keep the love going by sharing your own acts with #peonyforyourthoughts
