March 2018 Book Club: Broad Strokes

March 2018 Book Club

March 2018 Book Club

It’s time for the reveal of the March 2018 Book Club Book! “For most of history, Anonymous was a woman,” said author Virginia Woolf. And not just in literature, but the arts as well. Did you know March is National Women’s History month? We are diving right into women in art with the book Broad Strokes: 15 Women Who Made Art and Made History (In That Order) by Bridget Quinn. Isn’t that a great title?? As an art history student in New York, Quinn came across female artists she’d either never heard of or couldn’t find any information about. She searched and researched thoroughly, putting this book together about 15 incredible, talented women who are frequently glossed over or were looked down upon in their day. We’re excited to share their stories with you! Follow along @larsbookclub and stay tuned for some awesome printable artwork later this month. Enjoy!
