Printable Pencil Valentines

Printable floral pencil Valentines

Have you seen the movie “You’ve Got Mail”? If you’re a fan of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks flicks, this one is a must see. I’m not going to give it all away, though I could recite the whole thing by heart, but Kathleen (Meg Ryan) and Joe (Tom Hanks) meet in an online chatroom and basically became virtual pen pals. At one point in the movie Tom Hanks says he would give Meg a “bouquet of newly sharpened pencils” if he knew her name and address. It was the sweetest sentiment and I’ve been obsessed ever since. So here is my (and your!) chance to live out my “You’ve Got Mail” fantasies: Printable Pencil Valentines! Valentine’s Day is a holiday most often celebrated through the gifting and consumption of chocolates. I have no qualms with that tradition, generally speaking. But, even I can appreciate a candy-free Valentine! School teachers, mothers, and whole-30 enthusiasts rejoice! Whether you opt for a whole bouquet of pencils or a single bloom, these stems are sure to please all!

Embroidered Library Card Valentines

Make a Valentine from a library card

Just the other day we were having a conversation at the studio about getting hit on at the library. The Lars studio is located quite close to Brigham Young University, my Alma Mater. It’s a beautiful campus, and I still visit the library often to read and write without distraction (look at my recent Instastories for more insights). I always choose the same spot to go and study: fifth floor, tucked away in a cubby against the wall, with a window. The window is a crucial component. There are other areas in the library where students go to socialize, be seen, and consequently, flirt up a storm.

So when I was asked if I ever get hit on at the library, I realized: I have never once been hit on while at the library in all my years of schooling. Not a one! I pondered over whether I should be offended or not, but soon decided on the later. I wouldn’t have traded my cozy, secluded, natural light-flooded cubical for anything. That being said, love can be found anywhere, even the library! So we decided to have a little fun and make some embroidered library card valentines! Knot & Bow provided us with these adorable library cards in beautiful colors that worked perfectly! Add a cheeky pun (I’m checking you out… 😉 and you’ll have a library date in no time!

Valentine’s Day Printable Crowns

Valentine's Day Crown Printables

If you haven’t noticed by now, we have a thing for crowns. A few of us in the studio have been watching The Crown on Netflix and aside from the fascinating life of Queen Elizabeth, the crowns are breathtaking! Yesterday, England celebrated the Sapphire Jubilee, which marks the milestone of Queen Elizabeth II becoming the first British Monarch to reign for 65 years. 65 years! CNN created a slideshow of pictures documenting her life and it is so fascinating! Have you noticed that she does not shy aways from color, even in her older years? That is my kind of woman! I am all about bright colors and crowns, so I think Queen Elizabeth II and I would get along quite well.

Valentine's Day Printable Crowns

But, I diverge. There just seems to never not be an occasion for wearing a crown! Mind you, we’re talking paper crowns here, so it’s a bit more acceptable to the critical eye. This Valentine’s day we would strongly encourage you to channel your inner Queen Elizabeth and proudly dawn a crown of florals and swans. These Valentine’s Day printable crowns are just the thing to complete your red and pink ensemble!

Printable Valentine’s Day Candy Boxes

Dove Valentine's Day printable Chocolate Boxes

Do you remember in grade school when you would make Valentines for every student in your class? Sometimes there was a sweet treat attached to it. You’d even make a box to house all your lovely sentiments collected from the day. It was the best! Why does that tradition fade with age? I am a very big fan of friendly notes, and quite fond of sweet treats, yet well beyond grade school. So what’s the deal? We all deserve a little love, and nothing goes better with love than chocolate. So in an effort to bring back the tradition of Valentines for all, we created these sweet printable Valentine’s Day candy boxes, perfect to fill with a few DOVE® Chocolate PROMISES and pass out to all your friends! Remember to make one for yourself, you probably need a little reminder of how wonderful you are as well 🙂
