Sometimes all you need is just a touch of rainbow, you know what I mean? Not the whole entire outfit but a little nod. We’ve been wanting to try this out for some time and then were pleasantly surprised to see one of our favorite labels do it, State the Label. Great minds think alike, eh?! So, if you don’t want to add your own, there are a ton of cute options over there.
With our recent Wildbird release, we received a ton of requests to demonstrate how to make the rainbow paper tree prop we made for it. I have to admit that I love how it turned out and I think it would be an awesome accent piece to make for a kids room or for every day. Plus, you don’t have to water it, which is always a good thing, no? You can’t kill it with negligence! Just don’t let it live outside and you’re all good.
The season of rainbows continues! And this time it’s with some classy wood bangles. We found some blank wood bangles on Amazon (here) and thought they needed some color. We began creating these DIY Bangles for St. Patrick’s Day, but we think they are totally spring-worthy. And once we started we couldn’t stop–the more the better, right?! I LOVE how they turned out. We’ve got stripes, color-blocking, and of course, the obvious rainbows. Perfect for a punch of color here and there.
These bangles are so easy because all you have to do is paint. And the best part? You get to create the pattern and color scheme all on your own. The simple steps are below, so get to painting and have fun rocking your own colorful creation!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! How are you celebrating? We consider this time of year Rainbow season (well, all year, but particularly now) so it’s the perfect time to share some of our favorite rainbow projects. These DIY Rainbow Earrings crafted from paper are perfect for just that! It’s when you need a quick solution without spending too much.
You might remember one of our previous This Girl posts where we showed you how to make your own paper earrings. If you made those, then you know how absolutely easy they are to make! All you need is cardstock, string, and jewelry hardware. We’ve provided the Cricut files too so you can easily cut out the few shapes that you will need. With these earrings, you can be sure to make a statement while keeping yourself from getting pinched!
St. Patrick’s Day means many things but around here it means EVEN MORE RAINBOWS than normal–and we already live in a rainbow-filled world. We’ve been spotting lots of motif-themed poms and thought it would be fun to try it out our own DIY rainbow pom. It’s just like normal pom-making but with some layering and cutting involved. It’s much simpler than you might expect! We added on some solid colored poms to create a tassel. Together they’d be great to hang on a bag to get your festive green in.
