Hand holding hearts pop up Valentines

galentines day party invitation

As part of our much anticipated Galentine’s party next week, I’m showing you another favorite party element: the invitations. Every party needs a good invitation, and these fit our “Hearts, hands, eyes, and lips” theme perfectly. I thought of them after the seeing the incredible work of Kate Zaremba and the 500 hands (with 2500 hand cut nails) she created for her video, Serious Whimsy. You have got to go check it out. It’s seriously fun.

No worries, these “Hand Holding Hearts” invitations are simple to make. Two hands (template provided) attached with a heart message inside. But, the best part about these invitations is the POP-UP heart! What’s more fun than a 3D heart for a whimsical Galentine’s party. On the hearts, we used quotes about hearts and eyes to stay on theme, but you can write anything on them to personalize your invite. OR, you can use them as Valentines for school or friends.

Valentine’s Day balloon heart

I realize this Valentine’s Day balloon heart tutorial is coming so late in the love day game, but the idea just came to me recently (based on this balloon arch from last year) and I had to try and rush to put it out there just in case anyone needs a last minute backdrop for a party or Galentine’s Day or something. You never know! As you know, I’m super last minute in everything so perhaps there’s a kindred spirit out there? Yeah? I was thinking it could be fun as a backdrop or just a fun decor piece. And this one didn’t nearly take as long as the arch, nor did it cost as much. Bonus!

Valentine’s Day accessory: Cupid’s arrow pin

Valentine's Day accessory tutorial

If you remember last year, we did a series of ways to wear pink for Valentine’s day. We’re continuing the tradition with another idea and today it’s a cupid’s arrow collar pin. I love how subtle yet clever this one is–not too obnoxious, though I’m not against being obnoxious for holidays. And if you want to see more ideas on how to get into the holiday spirit, try this or this or a whole archives of Valentine’s Day ideas!

Valentine’s Day accessory: leather heart collar

Valentine's Day leather heart Peter Pan collar

As if there wasn’t enough pink going around during this time, I’m here with yet another wearable accessory to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit! This time, Ashley stepped in with a fun leather heart Peter Pan collar, because we all know I love me some Peter Pan collars (see here, here, and here).  I think it would be fun year round too with the right retro type look.
